This painting is a minimalist and symbolic work of abstract art inspired by my walk in Regent’s Park in London. My childhood experience- the confusion of sameness, depicted in the undifferentiated lime green field, has evolved into an adult appreciation of meditative repetition. As an adult the sameness allows the mind to let go of exterior anchors and the repetition of walking in a loop becomes a practice in mindfulness. The perfect, unmoving purple circle symbolizes this meditative focus while the stem grounds the focus, making it a stationary point in the moving green space.
